Playing with paint

For last study period or so, I went missing from here...sorry 'bout that! I was flat out writing essays for one subject and flinging paint around for this subject. I really loved getting back to painting again. I felt rusty and uncertain at the start and some of the exercises seemed to annoy me. And we had flood evacuations and illness and all sorts of things going on at the time so it got very complicated! I really didn't think I had it in me to get through it to be honest. While I await my results from the uni, I am confident that I did the best I could and I am pleased with the results as a whole. Of course not everything was fabulous, of course there were some that didn't work, but that's a whole big part of learning isn't it!?  I also wrote some really good essays on 19th century art that I'm pretty proud of. As a whole I can say I learned of many artists that I had never seen work of before, and some works of artists I thought I knew all their work, but clearly didn't! I played around with a lot of paint in the exercises and thoroughly enjoyed those days I got to paint.

Oh how addictive that paint is. The days I had to write and not paint were like torturous winters.
Ok so maybe that's a bit melodramatic LOL!
But the days I got to paint were peaceful and calm and I felt more myself again.

Bare with me while I show you the whole study periods work at once.
These are all uni exercises, some more successful than others, but all a part of a big learning whole ;)

And now, this study period begins and more painting, but loads more research required. I hope to be able to show you bit by bit as I progress.
